$61 for a race harness and $66 for a new waist harness; not bad at all?

I would never buy shoes, a wetsuit, or a harness without trying them on first; the fit is too personal. Make sure you can return them if necessary. Above all else, the one item I insist on fitting at a well-stocked WSing shop, with the advice of a good salesman, is my harness. Last time I bought a new model, I tried on and hung from at least 8-10 harnesses, and only one stood out; many others, of the same brand, were totally unacceptable. And, of course, after I do that, ordering one online to save money is cheating, IMO. A good dealer has EARNED whatever price he wants by stocking them and helping me sort through them. |
