Might be a bit cool, but the forecast for Long Island Sound Looks good! West wind 25-30kts. with gusts to 40 kts. Hammonasset should work well. Temps falling through the day low tide around 9:30 which helps. |

Yes, Ron. We'll be there, and Marty and Drew also threatened to show up. Low 30s SW at low tide should be fun. |

Slinky,
Just arrived at Hammo. Rigging 4.0 and launching at the pavilion
Was pondering driving to Matunuck . May save that for tomorrow.

Too cold and too windy for me. My small sail is a 4.2 and know it would have been way too much. Gusts over 45 here. Survival sailing is not my thing. |

Had a great 3.5 hour session at Hammo. Sailed the 4.0 with the 69L Fanatic NewWave. Nice ramps on the way out and rides coming in. Victory at Sea conditions past the buoy.
Planning amother session tomorrow.

Most guys were out on 4.0-4.5 and did ok. The chop was too much for speed runs, but produced a number of impressive jumps. Nina was powered on 3.4 and her 72 l wave board.
I tried to upload a few pictures, but kept getting error messages. There are some pictures on my blog and more on the Cape Cod Windsurfers group on Facebook. |
