Taking a break today as I am still sore from Sunday. Will do a write up once I get a chance. However, looking at the GFS and the GFDL models it looking like the outer Cape may be up on Friday and should have some decent swell from Nicole. Winds will definitely be down a notch compared to Sunday/Monday.

My thoughts on Nicole and other things -- COASTAL WATERS FROM PROVINCETOWN MA TO CHATHAM MA TO NANTUCKET MA
OUT 20 NM-
717 PM EDT WED OCT 12 2016

.FRI...N WINDS 15 TO 20 KT WITH GUSTS UP TO 30 KT. SEAS 5 TO
8 FT. Ocean side sailing, too big for me!

Bay side - Skaket starting at noon is my goal. Oh boy, I hope I can get work out of the way. The one caveat, it's almost a 12' tide. The conditions will be changing quickly.

.SAT...NE WINDS 10 TO 15 KT WITH GUSTS UP TO 20 KT. nahh - Ho-hum big sail stuff

.SUN NIGHT...SW WINDS 5 TO 10 KT. SEAS 4 TO 7 FT. Yikes! - with, an outgoing afternoon tide at CG, 4' is OK for a scrawny old man like me. 7' is big boy / team abide stuff. I bet 7', near low tide will be close-out city. Don't forget to dry the suit overnight

.MON...SW WINDS 5 TO 10 KT. SEAS 5 TO 7 FT. Yikes!!! - big boy stuff for sure

Scuttling my plans for tomorrow on the Cape. Going to focus on next week, maybe Lake Champlain for Wednesday AM. Forecast right now is in the 30s gusting 40.

Ron high tide tomorrow at 10:17 AM . How long can you sail at Skaket after high tide? Thinking early tomorrow, with NW wind. Also may go to Chapin.
