Beach Bash presented by 10 Barrel is set to go off this weekend! The weather looks good for wind coming in on Friday and a gorgeous all weekend weekend!

We've got loads of good stuff planned including a big 'ole concert at the Waterfront Park with a killer band out of PDX (Dirty Revival) from 6-10pm on Friday evening.

The AWT is in town to run downwind Slalom, Freeride, freestyle, kids races, tandem races, and much more all weekend, sponsored by Sailworks - so don't hesitate to get signed up. Registration is open on the AWT website and the deadline to sign up is Thursday evening at the Pray For Wind Party with competition kicking off at 9AM Friday morning. Everyone's invited!

Lastly, we have an all day Beach Party planned for Saturday and Sunday with food, music, beer, lawn games, kids activities, and much more! Come hang out and get involved in the fun. Unlimited gear demos and free lessons and clinics throughout the weekend.

Saturday ends with live music by the Ultronz! You will not want to miss this reunion gig at the Event Site starting at 5PM.

Registration for AWT events is tonight, 6-10pm at Stonehedge. As for cost, that would be a question for the AWT Race Director: david@americanwindsurfingtour.com

Should be a good time!

For the benefit of the people who drive hundreds of miles just for your swap meets, you need to mention that tomorrow's has been "postponed".

I was told $100 by the AWT coordinator. I couldn't find $100 laying around, so I decided not to register. Sounds fun though and would love to do it. If any tandem racers feel like sharing a purely sport ride, I would like to hear back. I have done this (in college), and it is fun and tricky. You have to trust the stern sailor a lot.

A huge thanks to everyone who came out to support the Beach Bash this year. We couldn't have put this on with out all the volunteers, sponsors, and participants who came out and had a good time. We have some photo albums posted on facebook at www.facebook.com/GorgeWindsurfing/ and we will have an event video and more photos on our website and Facebook coming up soon.

I also want to apologize for any inconvenience we caused by canceling last weeks Swap Meet. The plan to cancel had been in the works for some time and we did not do a good job of communicating that to the masses. Sorry! But...we have you covered:

SWAP MEET THIS SUNDAY - Windance parking lot, 7am/$10 for sellers, and 8am/FREE for buyers. See you there.
