There is still significant activity there. So proceed with caution on the road and parking lot. Also, the oil booms are still present. So actual water access is limited to the tiny bay. Windsurf and kite with caution and common sense. |

Those RR guys are probably using the outhouse. I hope they're paying. It cost me $5 to get poisoned by them skeeters. |

I just received an email from a PR person in Mosier saying that Rock Creek is NOT open, although people did go kiting there yesterday. The oil booms are still in place, and construction will begin on the sewage line replacement at Rock Creek today, hopefully to be finished by Friday. Please stay out of the area until official information arrives saying that the beach has reopened. Thanks for your help in spreading the word. |

About a dozen shredders and kiters at Rock Creek this afternoon. It is still clearly open. There is no oil behind the oil boom. Please avoid the oil boom and the marker buoys. And drive with extra caution.
Great session! No wetsuit. Solid 20-25mph. |
