|
|
I have to purge some gear. Located in Rye, NY, I have 3 boards for free pickup (or they get sawn up into pieces and dumped).
Bic Rock
Mistral Superlight
Mistral Superlight
The Bic and one of the Superlights are ready to sail. These are older boards with many miles on them. Hence they are free. The other Superlight i bought for parts. That board is fine but is missing the fin box, etc. The superlight was a great light wind board that I used for many many years. I have a fin, mast base and two centerboards for her.
Let me know if there are any takers. If so, I can leave it on the curb for you to pickup.

Dear mother of god please tell me you still have 1 still available.
I'm currently running 1 poly obrien and trying to fix and find parts for an old fanatic. Would any of those be an upgrade?
I live in NJ and would drive super quick.

If you are old enough to know, the superlights were (are) awesome boards for light wind or for learning/progressing!

Hail Windrock!
Come tonight my board situation is about to improve from Canoe to Race Boat. Talk about a killer Thursday.

Another die-hard Superlight sailor here. I've got 2 hulls on the chance that my high wind buddies will someday wake up to the possibilities, and that we'll get too old to miss any of the rapidly declining number of sailing days. I've even used the Superlight in long rolling waves--kinda like a freight train out of control, no chance of kicking off the wave once you get moving.

The end of an era for me! Sad to see these go. I learned how to windsurf on these two. Actually I started on a F2 Strato which was a P.O.S. in my opinion. I bought the Superlight knowing nothing about boards and it turned out to be a wise choice. I sailed across Long Island Sound on it. And sailed 15+ miles on it around the elbow of Cape Cod once (when it had a retractable skeg). Then i got the Rock and entered the shorter board world. Good memories....

I've SUPed my Superlight, fast in a straight line and plenty of secondary-stability once you get used to the initial wobble. You can just glass in a new /useded fin as it sounds like the old retractable box is gone on yours. Directions available on-line on PM me.

In the dark of night they braved I-95 and the GWB and now will be showered with love and affection again.
I could not believe how light they are... That mother F'ing obrien has a date with my Stihl chainsaw....
