Saw some bobbing upwind on the beachcam but didnt stay tuned. Catch any rides? Looked like a lot of A-frames.

Paul the wind was light side-off so we opted for SUP sailing. waves were great! Good size and when you grabbed a good one the rights were SWEET!!!
My SUP btw is 8' 2" and 108 L so not that big. Wink

thanks kook; couldn't make out the gear from the cam shots, my 12'6/205l sup is probably not going to cut it there?

Hello

Just checking in after a long winter’s nap.

Reading the thread, it appears that the action took place on Sunday the 21st.

No sail, but paddle for me. In the early afternoon closer to high tide, the shore break, rips and general turmoil drove me to my knees going out. On the maiden voyage, a massive set roiled in and gave the impression of being solid double overhead from the 3’ perspective. It wasn’t the Eddie, but it wasn’t grandma stuff either.

Even though I only got 5 clean rides, nothing broke and the afternoon glow was good enough to check off February.

The Kook says his Kawasaki Green Exocet is a 7-14. Mine’s a near Cadillac considering my weight at 2” longer and 110L. I just finished the day before reglassing and rail taping 7 or 8 crappy yellow tinted dings with a new super clear West hardener. Not perfect, but good enough considering the scuffing started all over again on Sunday.

Spring is just about here,

Ron C

Forecast is light for a Rhode Trip. Cape Forecast is better. Possibly just a Hardings out the South inlet at high tide?
