I don't have either of those, I do have RIP and Screaming Waters. Looking through the box again, I may make an effort to transfer a few to DVD before tossing |

I have watching some of my old tapes (when the VHS works). I like seeing how good the sailing was on the old equipment.
Was the sail that flip horizontally called the "wind weapon"? |

No excerps from "Hard Winds" should exclude the jumps of legends Bruce Peterson and Mike Kitts on their Hyper Tech's. |

Hard Winds" truly is an amazing classic. The editing and music choreography is so good that it's a thrill to watch any time. This was all shot in 1987, nearly 30 years ago, and it's inspiring and humbling to see how hard those guys ripped at what was the beginning of high performance sailing development (on Dacron sails and homemade boards).
My VCR just died, so I guess I need to get my copy converted to DVD. I sure don't want to let go of it.
There's a YouTube version:

A bit fuzzy, but still rocks. |

Let me know if you would like a CD version of the entire video "Hard Winds a Blowing" If enough people are interested I can contact Rod and see what he would charge CD's. I recently got one from him and it is awesome!

Thanks, Mike! It figures you'd know all these guys.
For others, "Rod" is Rod Parmenter, the director, producer, and even one of the sailors on the film (super smooth 360). The terrific music is by unknown (to me) bands, might be locals as well.
A DVD of that film does indeed sound awesome, sign me up! |
