This thread inspired me to pull my old Bruce Jones out from under the house. Aside from some rust stains from a leaky pipe it's in pretty good shape. I remember it being a really fun board. When I compare the geometry of the foot straps and mast track it's completely different from what I sail these days. I'm going to put some new foot straps on it and take it out on the next brisk day just to see how it feels. Has anyone sailed one of these old boards lately? Perhaps I'm just feeling a bit nostalgic....

I found another Haut board that I have. 8'6 "chop hopper"
Most of the airbrush work was done by a guy named Muchado.
They are pieces of art!

Hi 2 Blue,
Wow, thanks for all of those pics!
I knew you were out there somewhere.......!
How do you like the way the Hauts sail compared to newer style boards?
They look more old school but sure are beautiful. Not to say old school isn't good, just different. Are they eps and glass/carbon? Are they light/stiff?
Obviously you are jumping them, so they must be durable.
Just thinking of how cool it would be to have one built.
Custom baby! Graphics and all.
Thanks everyone else for you input as well.
Greg

I'll be interested to see what you think. We tried this with an old Velocity spoon we thought was a killer ride when new. The verdict, eh, it was an OK ride.

I really liked my Spoon ... right up until my first reach on a GA Bonzer. Literally within the next hour I had sold the Spoon and bought a Bonzer ... followed by at least 15 more. The guy who bought the Spoon from me (Joel Datloff) repeated a similar epiphany a few months later and remained loyal to GAs for years thereafter.
Didja know Logosz designed the Spoon to be sailed narrow-end first (fin and weight on the fat end), but tried them on the nose as a lark, liked it better, and marketed it that way. (Not a rumor; Tony told me that himself.)

I've heard that, though not from Tony himself.
Didja know Tony and Jeff started Velocity in Utah?
I understand Slingshot is working out well for Tony. I love it when people
prosper.
