Want to head to Pleasant Bay Friday to hopefully catch some NE wind. Have never sailed there before. Any recommendations on the best place to launch from/directions to the site from 6A? Thanks.

This is funny - RonC asks about one of ron.c's favorite sites. The launch point is at Jackknife Cove. It's a small road that goes down quite steeply to a large beach area, with some boats anchored in front. I'm attaching an image.
Looking at the other town landings in the area, the one at Strong Island Road (about 1.2 miles ENE from Jackknive) also looks promising. Smaller, but much longer reaches. Has anyone every windsurfed from there? Does Chatham have resident restrictions on town landings?

Pleasant Bay was was fully lit yesterday. The view from 28 was fantastic, all white caps.
I got a very nice breakfast session in with my Hardie hand-me-down, very sweet, 4.7.

Same place circa 1995. Using a multi-sail and Bic Astro Rock if anyone remembers those. I was 15 and this was one of my favorites on a NE. Great memories there and an awesome crowd back in the day. Got rescued once by the Inn on the opposite side in a snowstorm once, helped get rid of the guy trying to rent jet skis there and got fired from Riders cove marina when the boss busted me down there sailing after calling in sick for three days straight. Will make it back there someday.
