North has min, med, max ovals at the 2nd panel.
Unless you plan to just slog around in non planing winds, go to MAX, or on their race sails, slightly beyond.
Never pull outhaul tight, because it tightens the leech, kills low end, and you end up standing there when a 30 mph gust comes to visit. Always set outhaul so the sail almost touch's the inside of the boom arm away from you, when you push on the sail to approximate wind. |

Had a good session the other day in roughly 22-28 knots with the 4.2. Just confirming that it needs lots of downhaul and little downhaul for medium winds. It's the type of sail that looks like it has too much downhaul on the beach but when powered up it straightens out.
It felt rather stable with a light front hand (light hands in general) and has a nice buffer with the loose outhaul. It felt incredibly light at the jibe and surf but that's because I'm sailing a 5.0 power wave sail mostly.
PS: With Danny coming, the Zeta might come in handy then we'll be able to test its high end! _________________ *NEW* - Manu's Windsurfing Blog, The STORE! |
