I'm looking for suggestions on which RV camprground (small trailer) near Gold Beach - Pistol River, OR would be the best choice for a summer trip. |

Stayed multiple times at Indian Creek and camped.

Very nice people, very clean facilities and restrooms, you can check in late at the booth and window as you pull in on the right.
Heading North make a right immediately before crossing the bridge out of Gold beach. About 3 or minutes up the road.
Always amazing to wake up with bald eagles flying overhead.
FYI, if you head further North and Coos bay, grab some seafood at the floating little restaurant very close to the visitors center, park in their parking lot. Caught fresh every morning and the couple who run the restaurant are from the East Bay originally.
Have a great trip! |

Thanks Epenrpse.
Yep, We rode over to Floras Lake last summer just to have a look. There was a couple of campers parked with some old style gear tucked away. |

If you want a nice little Campground right next to the Beach, check this out:

I stayed there twice and it's really quite nice. You can walk right into town and the beach access is great. There's a nice little "Lighthouse" (really a little observation deck) that's fun. The view can be awesome! |

I parked at the same place as Sorensom. Far enough out of town to not attract paupers but close enough to walk everywhere. They have full hookups too, which is always nice. I think they have 30 and 50 amp outlets |

Their website is still up. Last time I was there was about 5-6 years ago. Campground had become a little sketchy, we thought, though we actually spent a few nights at the B&B that time; really nice. Lots of kites but they stay pretty much at north end of lake, so plenty of room mid-lake to carve big fat jibes.

If you ask around, there's some stealth camping near there as well. |
