Hey folks,

I'm looking for one of two things: either people who would be interested in renting a house with me in Avon, NC the week of 3/28 and 4/4, or people who have rented a house that week, and have a spare bed for me.

Being a teacher, I do not get to choose when I get to go on vacation. As a result, the windsurfing buddies I went to Hatteras last year are not available when I am off.

Please let me know (offlist) if you are interested in renting, or have a place I could stay. I promise to be good company, and am housebroken!

That is a great time of year to be here- it is generally VERY windy.... sometimes 70+ degrees, sometimes 45 degrees.... Did I mention WINDY?? Laughing

Rental housing is also exceptionally inexpensive. No lines at the grocery store. No traffic. The whole island is yours! Very Happy

Thanks for the encouragement, Andy! I'll stop in for my annual tune-up when I get there - new lines and base tendons. And now, thanks to you selling me the RRD Wassup 10', I'll be asking about where the good sandbars are for SUP surfing on windless days and wavesailing on light wind days!

If you can't find a beach house Cape Pines motel in Buxton is decent with good prices and central location. Don't camp cause it can be too cold and 30 knt gales all night long are not uncommon early spring. Bring your heavy wetsuit.

coming from florida, i never owned a hood until i sailed OBX in that same time of year. the hood is priceless. so is a hot tub after sailing, as well as during any breaks.

Hey folks,

So I rented a house in Avon, NC for the week of 3/28-4/4. If anyone wants to stay, get in touch me at william.seibert@snet.net.

The house is not on the water, and it's cheap. Three bedrooms, one of which has two bunk beds. $550 for the week. If you want to stay for less time, that's fine. I'd ask you to pay your part of the nights you stay.

I'm looking to windsurf on the sound, SUP wavesail on the ocean, or SUP surf on the ocean depending on the conditions. I'm even thinking of renting a surfboard if that's the call.

As previously mentioned, I am housebroken. Just saying.
