|
|
Numbers are looking good for tomorrow afternoon at Hardings Beach in Chatham. Parking might be an issue if everyone shows up but I think we will be ok if we double park.
Partly sunny mid 40's low tide at about 2:30 pm and decent West wind.
This could be the last fall session of 2014. Let's make it happen.
Oh and who ever shows up gets a free Clew-View sticker!!!

Sounds like a plan. I should be at Hardings around 11:30.

It went WNW Shreddbob. I am putting things on hold until noon and will make decision then. Some people are going to the bayside so you might want to check that out.

Corp Report 11:30
sunny some scattered clouds. 43 balmy degrees. Wind side/side-off. Some knee high low tide rollers, in case any kiters are interested. Looks like 5.7 for me (165 lbs) with floaty board. Nobody here. Not gonna do it, looks too iffy.
Thinking I'm not gonna make the drive out to Hardings.
I'm holding out hope for a Christmas present session before year-end!

Skaket delivered today - full power on 4.7-5.5 and 91-100 l boards. Nice gentle rollers, maybe hip-high or a bit more outside at the start, smaller but cleaner close to shore. Sailed with Hardcore Hardie and Marty from 10:30 to 2. Had to carry our gear back more than 1/2 mile (20 minutes) to Linnell Landing, but it sure was worth it. Although if I had known that we'd sail so long, I would have picked Ellis Landing to start instead - the walk would have been a lot shorter.
I love fall sailing!

I always get cold inside. I was warm to hot the entire time while windsurfing today. The hands got a bit chilly in the open-palm mitts from time to time, but a few puffs through the warming tubes in my wetsuit fixed that every time. No surprise that 2 of the 3 guys out today wore Ianovated wetsuits. Three hour sessions in the middle of December - cool!

Are you saying that in WNW you can sail through this channel at low tide, which makes the Ellis Landing launch a shorter walk?
I wasn't even thinking about this area today because of the walk at low tide thing. Maybe I need to reconsider...
