ha, yes, please keep that answer to yourself Laughing But seriously, how big were the waves that you all were so tantalizingly close to riding.

I think it would be best to let Number Nine answer that question. Wink

OC that is a very funny description of our day.

One thing you can count on is when we do a moron-athon we do it with gusto, and always seem to make it fun.

To answer Zeppy.
I did make out with a massive amount of luck on my first try.
The set that I caught was head high.
Then denied every other attempt.

Brad did make it out once. We tried to get photos but the outside was so foggy the camera could not see him. After at least an hour of trying
He texted me later that after we left, he tried again but never got out.

The trouble was all in Brad's hole. you could get over the first few sets then there was a zone that was completely calm.
Out side was smoking. over powered on the 4.7 to 0.

The out was not really all that challenging other the the wind hole.

We should have brought sups and hit the wrap waves in one of the little nooks. But it think an hours in the rinse cycle was about all we had.
Good thing the water was warm.

Live and learn.

Here is a photo of Town Neck which I believe was taken after the wind shift to the NW, which is clearly visible by the spindrift. Wave diffraction theory verified...

Is that the awesomeness you saw.
