AWT in Hatteras

The event was last week. Sept in the Outer Banks was especially nice, very warm water ocean and sound, some fairly windy days, and rain, rain, intermixed with bright sun

The event was some limited by lack of wind, but heats were concluded when able throughout the week. The AWT organizer Sam and Chris head judge did a admirable job with locations wind and competitors. The heat judging on observation was done nicely, got to be a hard task to rate the sailors.

The AWT is a low stress have fun event, the closing recognized many who gave their time to have it all come together.

The professionals were all talkative and helpful.

Several open house evening events that were available to all, sailors and fun seekers made interaction easy. Food and adult frosty beverages were provided.Local shops Ocean Air and Wind N-C were hosts .

Wind N-C supported with personal and prize money,registration with pizza, Ocean Air provided home made food for the closing ceremony, a full time beer dispenser, who was not stingy.

A really fun event in a awesome location, mark your calender for next year
