NW wind returns! Video: Hate him or love him: death of Eddy.

Hi Gang,

If you sail or kite Larkspur, Pt. Isabel, Berkeley, Oyster, Flying Tigers or Davis Pt. you know Eddy as a friend that brought you strong SW flow much of this summer.

But Eddy was despised by those of you whose home waters are Waddell, Crissy, Coyote or 3rd since Eddy so often blocked the North Pacific High's surface NW winds that are so critical to bringing you good wind especially near shore.

No matter what your feelings are about this character you have to admit that Eddy was a big part of the Bay Area wind scene this summer.

So Eddie's expected death mid day Sunday is bound to bring a moment of reflection on the water as NW flow, albeit mild, begins to return the next 3 days.

There will be a memorial video blog about the life and death of Eddy in the next few days.
