Learning to jibe consistently just takes a lot of practice, regardless of where you live and sail.
I learned to jibe close to 95% before the end of my first 3 months. But 3 months means close to 70 days in winds above 20 mph.
Being able to ride a 5'6" surfboard really well helps a bit, as does selling windsurf gear to guys with head starts in windsurfing by over 2 years...credibility. |
