The entire July was great. I got 15 days of planing at Kalmus, only 2 on big summer gear (8.5 / 117l). Sailed more than 800 km, that's roughly 20 marathons . Now if we only could skip August and go straight into September... |

same thing here on LI. Hoping for a good August, even though it's not usually good, but leaving to go sailing now. back to work a month from tomorrow, so please don't even mention skipping August.

Gaaa!!! Shut-up! It's been typically windless here....like every other July in the mid-west. Send the wind this way, or....or.....I'll wish a shark-nado on you. _________________ Kansas City |

So far so good on that front ... Even with the curse ... I might have been tempting fate while sailing with a small slice in my leg ... Kinda felt like i was chumming ... "We might need a bigger boat" kept going through my head. |

Probably should not have said anything ... Callouses are softening and I thought my wind meter battery had died (it hadn't). C'mon seabreezes. |

haha, even though what I am about to write does not relate at all to your reference, that phrase still rings true for me. Sailing my Megacat (all 12'6" of it)lately. |

Pretty nice seabreezes today. But, there was a ruckus in the water that had me initially a bit comcerned. I went through a school of bluefish and that started them running and jumping. Anyone else have that happen? |

Bluefish got's big teeth! They may have been feeding on bunker, which is what you probably saw jumping. I steer clear of any stirred up water with jumping fish to be on the safe side. It's a real feeding frenzy like a school of piranha. |

Yeah, and I only had board shorts on at the time. Was quite the dilemma ... continue to sail the potentially last solid wind of the week or run the risk of becoming an abnormal part of the food chain. In the end, I went through the school several more times until mother nature shut down the flow. What a crazy-addictive sport. |
