Just tried to do a onsite report to say that there is no wind in Viento this morning, but was not able to put a comment. I used to old interface.

How is it done?

Thanks

Hi Guy,

The old text entry onsite report feature was rarely used yet sometimes abused by weirdos. So a couple of years ago the new onsite report page was designed so that people could quickly enter the basic information even from a mobile phone.

It is still rarely used since most of us are to busy rigging to send in a report for others.

Have a safe trip home.

HiBwill808,

First some basic info for everyone then the answer to your question. See the imagery below.

To send reports:
1. Hold your phone with wind meter facing the wind.
2. Press the green TAKE A READING button
3. If you just press the SAVE button your reading goes directly to the web and appears on our windalert.com map.
(If you select MAKE PUBLIC you have the option of sending your wind report to anyone you like as a text, twitter, Facebook etc.)

To see onsite reports:
1. Go to windalert.com on your phone or computer and zoom the map into the part of the Gorge you want.
2. Select REGIONAL PRODUCTS from the left sidebar
3. Then select ONSITE REPORTS and onsite reports appear on the map as little bubbles with the wind.
4. For more details just click on a bubble.
5.For all the recent reports in the area click on DETAILS.

You can SAVE this map so in the future you see onsite reports with one click.

Have fun,

Mike Godsey
