Hi James, I think that's a bit of an optical illusion. Here are a few more pics with a 72" straight edge. Note, the Freeride has about 1/3 the tail rocker of your standard SUP. Maybe a touch more than an old school longboard? The other interesting thing is that the rocker sections are split up into a handful of long flat sections, so it isn't really like a long progressive curve like most surfy boards have.
Regarding footstraps and big fins and stuff, yeah, I'm with waterloo in that those are kind of unnecessary for the intended conditions and general range of use of the board. It's a different aspect of the sport, generally long forgotten but well loved by millions of participants world wide back in the 70s and 80s.... I personally love it! Ditch the high tech ride and just go have fun.  Shocking, I know!!

| Anyone here have experience sailing this board? I have the Starboard Whopper windsup which is fun in waves, but will not plane in flat water, too much rocker.

Yes! I'd love to try the inflatable when we come to Hatteras next spring. So much easier to get into the car or van (even my Nissan NV 2500 high roof is length challenged!). Inflatable means no worries when you throw the rig into the board while practicing Anklebiters etc.
