Hey, Cape folks,
Forecast looking good for Monday and I am thinking on heading down there for an afternoon session. Never sailed on the Cape before..
i know that horse been has beaten to death but wondering where a good place would be to go and where I wouldn't necessarily be sailing alone. Was thinking of Kalmus or West Dennis. Any better ideas given it is school vacation, parking restrictions and all that.
Oh and some waves or al least chop would be nice...
Cheers

West Dennis parking is severly restricted, with it blocked off for the plovers.
Very tough to get near where you launch, at the end of the beach.Unless you got there, real early . So for that reason I'd chose Kalmus over WD. Kalmus is bump and jump sailing. You can sail out to the point and try for some swell, but be careful, large rocks there.
Waves may be available on the outer cape, but I don't know about the summer restrictions. |

Along with the height, the crowd at Skaket was also slightly lower.
Good to hear you guys got some of yesterday's wind. I hope we weren't the only ones.
Not too shabby with good surf on Friday too. |

Buzzard's Bay had decent wind Sunday; great wind today with some awesome swell. Summer is kicking in! |
