At full extension, the CHinook races look like they can go to 34.

Thanks Kevin. I'm going to call Hot Sails Maui tomorrow. If their lines are really 36" I'll order a pair. Otherwise I may have to make my own.

I recently switched from dakine 30 to Hot Sails 32 lines. So glad I went longer.

32s for your wave gear or your slalom?? For me, 34 is the longest I usually go but thats for the really epic days ...which is rare now Crying or Very sad

Did a quick search and found them listed for $70... seriously? For a set of harness lines?

I didn't pay that much because I bought them used after the worlds last year. Great quality and I have yet to find anything longer.

@Darbonne - Thanks for the tip. I looked on the Kona class website and they were listed for over $80. Wow, that's really pricey for some bits of line, webbing, and a couple of cleats. I'm gonna give the Hot Sails Maui lines a try. At $30+shipping I guess they're a bargain. Wink

I like my slalom lines shorter - 28 feels comfortable for fast cruising.

Fixed harness line measurements are madding! Seems like every brand has their own definition of length.
I measure the actual "loop" that hangs below the boom when the lines are actually attached to the boom.
For example:
My Hot Sails Maui 30" are great lines but measure a tad under 34"! Shipping from Hawaii will cost nearly as much as the lines...

Dakine mono 30" measure 32".

The only brand I've found to be right on is Ezzy.

I have 30", 32" 34" and all are spot on. Great quality too.

I have a pair of Ezzy 38" that I used a couple of times while experimenting with with a low hook seat harness that I'd sell at a nice discount, PM me if interested.

On-the-fly adjustable are a possibility too but they do swing around quite a bit, something I don't personally care for.

Of course this is not an issue if you can simply measure the lines at the shop but if ordering shipping will kill you.
