I'm starting to rethink my recommendation for these because they just suck in so much sand. Even when I'm real careful not to walk in the little waves by the shoreline somehow they manage to suck it in and fill up with sand.
If there is no sand where you sail then no problem.
Who makes the narrowest booties? Women's are narrower but my feet seem to be bigger than the largest women's size. At this point I don't care about the thicker sole, I need a better fit!

I am trying these swim socks out:

So far, so good. No sand entry at all. Feels close to barefoot on the board. They have handled the rocks that I have met so far between van and launch. Now if they just hold up. I seem to put my toes through the wetsuit booties toes alarmingly fast. And then there is no keeping the sand out.

Tip for great deals on these booties: REI's semi-annual "garage sales". I snagged several pairs of several models of 5-toed Vibrams for $5 (decent shape) - $20 (looked unused) apiece.
