I sailed one a few times in Bonaire but not enough to really have strong opinion but it seems to me MS has a winner here, a really nice cross between a wave sail and a fuller cut freeride shape. Seems like there's not many choices in this segment at the bigger end of the range, 7.5—or ideally 8.0- 8.5.
I kind of wish the entire sail was X-Ply however, wondering what others think on the performance and build quality of this sail especially in the 6.0-7.5 range.
Also, who makes the new line of K-series masts?

Is it one of those new 6 batten freeride sails? Hot Sails has one too, I think it's called the ...GPX? One of the locals here has one and loves it!

i had a 7m, didnt like it. the batten in the mast cutout was always getting caught on my boom clamp.
i would also never get into really stiff top, or soft top mast specific sails again.

I agree with the comment on masts. I however read somewhere that MS has switched to constant curve this year? Maybe with some products only?

The Unifiber chart has them in CC now for 2014.

beware tube battens. in the past, switch somewhat relied on them as a design feature. good sail, yet one should not take it the surf.

aerotech phantom designed around rod battens, much tougher in the surf. also behaves from great with an RDM to fantastic with a SDM when one goes from flat water to surf and back again.

I'm rigging the 7.5 on a 460 RDM (MS mast) btw...works fine.

I have sailing the switch in various sizes and years. Didn't have the batten sticking on the boom clamp with MS mast and rigged right. I did on the wrong mast. Great sails....i now have the 6.4' got rid of my 5.6 and 4.8 for more designated wave sails. You can take them in waves/surf...they say to avoid crashing waves. So small stuff is fine.
