Iwindsurf forecast in knots or mph

Hi,

The San Fran daily briefing just mentions the forecast wind speed (eg. "mid teens"), while the daily briefing forecast "bar" is knots.
So is the briefing in knots or mph?

Also when looking at charts its in mph and so are the regular forecast charts...
