This is all very entertaining and I'm sure you've all qualified for your discount from Bruce P. but for the benefit of people who look to this forum for factual information (as opposed to unpaid ads) I'd suggest you go to the url below, where the PWA counts up the slalom, wave and freestyle wins for each sail brand and Sailworks came in 12th. Wait...Correction! TIED for 12th with powerhouse Gun Sails.

Tied with Gun Sails? I love you people that take comfort in only the tangible. How do you define soul? Sailworks has soul. Yes! Numero uno en mi corazon! (#1 in my heart). Discount? I think not!

Sailworks is the USA brand. Do any Americans even compete in PWA besides wave?

Bill: compared to Europe windsurfing has never been big in the US but Micah Buzianis is rated in the top ten PWA slalom: he uses Maui Sails TR race sails.

And building a PWA level sail does not come that easy. Sailworks never had a presence with its NX and I doubt you could build a successfull sail at that level without actually taking part in the game.

As far as Sailworks being the best ... you were joking, right? even if they were how would one know? It would mean having tried, and tuned, all possible sails on the market ... Shocked ... and what works for one might not work for others ...

A brand will only be the "USA Brand" to me when they make everything in house in the US Very Happy

Actually, I found the most interesting comment coming from Windoggie.

"Sailworks is the new Windwing..."

As someone who has sailed Bill Hansen's sails since 1986, I'm focused on Sailworks as a favorable option in the future. In fact, I have a 2008 Sailworks Revo 5.4 that I bought new in early 2009, but I have only used it once so far for only about 10 minutes (too much sail for the conditions). I'm definitely going to spend some time with it this upcoming summer.

I have to say that the construction on the 5.4 is excellent, and it includes the materials, details and all the features to last a long time. One thing that I like is that the sail bag has a drawstring closure. A very minor point, but so sensible for those of us that keep our gear for years. I absolutely hate zippers, because they always fail and you're left with a funky bag that's just a pain.

Another thing that's great about Sailworks is that they have a fully equipped sail repair facility with an experienced staff. I've had many of my Windwings repaired there over the years, and they consistently do outstanding work in a very timely fashion. I like that kind of support.

Is that a joke?

Maybe that's why that guy used to sail with a block of Styrofoam strapped to his back. Trying to get attention.
