But you'll have to pry my 5.6 Bash from my cold, clammy fingers. _________________ /w\ |

Spennie, you don't have any windsurfing experience to evaluate.
I can sail rings around you with my 1997 North Converts and Raves.
Heck, I can sail rings around you with my 1994 GaastraSlalomfoil 6.4 that KevinKan gave me (thanks, Kevin)
Sails have not change so greatly. I use the newest stuff from Cal Sailing and from friends, my g/f has 2013 Gaastra GTX and Cosmic, and Naish Grandprix, so I know what the new sails feel like.
As for boards, I can sail rings around you, better jibes and much faster, with 2000 boards and those old sails.
Ain't the gear, the PILOT determines how the gear works. |

Don't worry Kevindo, he has these fits every once in a while.
I get misconstrued a lot, perhaps he thought I was making fun of his old gear? Not the case at all, I was saying that Sailworks were good in 1999, and much better now! _________________ Spennie the Wind Junkie

I really like my brand new quiver of Revo's. There was zero adjustment curve; just hop and go. _________________ Kansas City |

Speedfoils were 1986 thru 1988.
Guys on the team used a very short mast, extended with a fiberglass/carbon top, to create more flex top.
We inserted the top 3 battens in Reversed, so the draft was flat and twisted.
Speedfoils were super short booms, unlike the Racefoils, which had normal length booms, which explains the lack of acceleration.
My Gaastra Slalom foil is a 1994 model, modern twisted top to the 4th batten, all monofilm, locked stable draft, and wide luff sleeve. |

We're glad you guys love your SWs, but do you actually think the guys who design other brands don't ride them as hard and skillfully as Bruce does? Do you actually think that everyone who prefers other brands haven't tried, even owned, SWs? Do you really think all other brands change their sails just for PR? |

Haven't tried a Hucker yet so I'm curious to see if all the hype I've been hearing is true...when will you be at Cabrillo again? I know Lorenzo may be interested in getting one.
