I'll be driving by Worthington next weekend. We'll have time to spend a day or two there. Is the ice gone? If there's wind, will anybody be sailing at Okabena? Thanks.

Lakes in the Minneapolis area are open per http://www.lakawa.com/ so Lake Okabena in Worthington should also be open.

Asking your question on LAKAWA might get you an answer from someone in Worthington.

The USWA Nationals will be in Worthington June 10-15 and they will also have their Unvarnished Music Festival. Great windsurfing races, a friendly crowd watching from shore, and free entertainment in the late afternoons & evenings; where could you get something better?

Seems likely that the ice is gone, and it seems very likely that others will be sailing Okabena next weekend. You're hitting it right in it's prime season:
