Same for us. It is usual to see sharks in the clear water when we sail.
I often change an outhaul or mast foot position in less than ten seconds.
Our gear is mostly adjusted very well because we keep rigged year round. After a few months rigged up you usually get it close to right.
Once on the water for three or four hours you often find conditions have changed. Other sailors just struggle through it.
We change the settings in seconds when we are down anyway. |

I launched huge air once and the uni, which I forgot to tighten, slid out mid-forward. I glided with the rig in my hands while the board hung by the footstraps to my feet. Embarrassing. |

Keycocker - is talking BS again on something he knows nothing about:
"We use single bolt foots so we can change base position offshore. Wind drops you can move forward for easier planing and slogging, or working to windward. All the way back for your last ride partly downwind at top speed"
No way!!! That is perhaps the worst move you could ever do!! I windsurfed for many years at Diamond Head and a few at Hookipa. I never saw him do such a thing. Only a complete moron like Keycoker would come up this lie!
And as far as "Naish told me" what a delusional mind you have!
KEYCOCKER is all lies - busted again you moron! |

Guys, Keycocker is correct, HE and a few other guys can change mast foot position in less than 20 seconds, can remove the mast foot and replace it easily in 30 seconds, even in heavy swells and wind chop.
YOU cannot, so you think it's not possible.
Guess what? Plenty of things YOU cannot do, that other's do easily. |

I moved my single bolt back a few cm on the water yesterday, so it is possible. |

You know, sometimes there can be a problem crossing the road, and at other times, it's no problem at all. Let caution be your guide. |
