HPL boom parts

In my case it's a wave freeride boom. Actually I think it's called
a Carbon Hybrid.

Mine are wave booms. I don't have them right here; I will measure them tomorrow. A desperate (frugal?) sailor could fit the older collars on newer booms (I'm pretty sure) or vice versa. It would require drilling some new holes on the other side of the extension.

Update: I measured the hinged collars on my old aluminum wave boom, and the pin spacing is 18 mm and pin thickness is 8mm (I think the ones on my Hybrid Carbon Slalom are the same.) The spacing on the newer collars of my carbon wave boom is 20 mm and the pins are 6 mm thick. I tried the old collars on the newer boom and they do fit. This would, of course, require drilling 2 new holes in the front tubing, also at least 2 new holes in the extension, both sides. I also tried fitting the old aluminum extension into the newer carbon front tubes, and that worked as well. (The aluminum extensions are quite light, just not very stiff, so this might work okay where not much extension is required.)

Right now I have collars from a North boom on them. Pin spacing is the same but they don't close quite as snugly as the original, leaving me a little worried they might pop open on the water. Haven't actually taken them out yet and will be a higher wind day when I do, increasing the concern. The originals both cracked after three seasons, one completely. Thanks again for looking into this!

there are some other clips that I am ordering that have ~.75" center to center pin spacing which is ~2cm... so probably works with booms that have 2cm adjustment increments. will report back when i see them in person.
