Oh yeah, these shark tagging projects have shown that great whites do quite a bit of travel. I have seen maps of them travelling all up and down the East coast.

The spot where their presence has increased the most I believe has been off the southern coast of Cape Cod, MA. The protection of seals and sealions has led to population growth there and the sharks appear to be visiting this food source more often now. (Or maybe they were always there and we can just track it better now.)

All of us that play in the ocean know that we are taking some risk and need to come to terms with that somehow.

Exactly, "Jaws" was one of the best movies ever made, the suspense, the music, the cast, and most of all, the directing. That movie was award worthy, but for some Hollywood political reasons, it didn't win any of the big awards.
I was a lifeguard on a Pacific beach the year it came out, that was a very quite summer for me on the job. Wink

It definitely was one of the all-time best movies and won nothing. Remember in the old days when the movies that won were the ones people liked? Legally Blonde was on TV this morning, hugely popular and giant money maker that won nothing.

its definitely not about the money......if it was Mike Myers, Adam Sandler, and Will Ferrell would have rooms full of Oscars..
