NW, not fooled by that link right?
Just joking about a stock market that has been setting records so often in recent years that it is no longer news?
Up 30 plus percent in 12 months.

The Dow is up only 15% in the last 7 years. It was 14,000 when Bush was president.

But the stock market has nothing to do with main street. Main street is struggling.

Relax ladies, Putin is retreating, and the market is set to roar today. Go back to doing whatever you were doing.

I don't think anyone thinks Putin is going to go into Ukraine. However, I doubt that he will just leave the Crimean Peninsula. 80% of Crimean's want him there. They even have their own parliament.

The street thugs in Kiev overthrew a legitimately elected government. If the Tea Party started riots and took over the White House, what would the reaction be? What if the 99% took the White House?

Putin is a quiet man. You rarely hear him pop off about events. Obama pops off without thinking. Syria, "you can keep your plan", Korea, Iran....you get the picture. Now we have Iran, China, Russia, N Korea and other bad players forming an alliance. Europe doesn't want sanctions because they need their cheap energy. I doubt that any action against Russia will have teeth, because the entire world is so dependent upon the free flow of goods, that we are all screwed if this goes south.

Who wins? Any opinions? My bet is Russia ends up with Crimea.

Takes one to know one, I guess.

I am with bard. There never was a recent time that Russia didn't control the Crimea and that will continue.
The West will demand a vote and the vote will go with Russia.

I am surprised he thinks the freedom movement, who just want an election, are thugs , and the dictator who stole billions while they starved is the good guy.

SB, Dow was at 7949 when Bush left. A 24% negative decline in his 2nd. Term. Under the "O" man, we are at 16388. Up 100 %.

For me, s/he'd also have to think way right of today's Democrat and Democratic Party, with whom I vehemently disagree on many more issues than cronyism. E.g., the unearned welfare state, overly centralized government, socialized medicine, weakening our military just as we're facing a rogue wave in the war cycles, and tolerance of powerful insane people like Reid and Pelosi.
