I've read, heard, and observed that a major advantage of short/wide was superior planing power ... both father into lulls and quicker out of them. But I respect (most of ) your expertise and advice, especially regarding planing in marginal winds, so I'm confused. Lord knows that even good days around here are pretty gusty, so a broad range of planing power is valuable. Please elaborate. |
