The kitesuit comes with a pair of board shorts to wear over it. |

After my smooth skin Neil Pryde suit started to get all the nicks, scrapes and cuts I wish I had wore boardshorts over it and a rashy. I plan to on my next smooth skin suit. I think it would protect the delicate neoprene. Not sure what would help to keep the seams together though; they NP were(are?) junk.
I wanted the ION suit but they were out of my size in the last years model that was on sale. It definitely seems warmer than a non neoprene drysuit but I have doubts it would help you if water got in it. In fact I think it would be worse as it would get much heavier and harder to swim. The neoprene would help you float, so there's that.
I've only had two goes in my drysuit so far and then it got much warmer and I switched to a 3/2. Not sure if I should be upset or happy. |
