for me, votes shouldn't have anything to do with money, income or wealth. Bow.

Since were on the subject of Venture Capital. Tesla is at $257, today, and WhatsApp was snagged for $19 B last week. I'm sure glad Elon Musk, and the kids at WhatsApp aren't in tune with the Right's meme of "its impossible to start a small business these days". Or all the biotechs that are being bought for billions, almost daily.

Impressive for sure Boggs. However, I still have guys waiting in line for minimum wage type work who used to make 3 times that. Why? Whatever the reason, things need to change.

Steve...things are changing fast, real fast. Wait til the Google Robot comes around, that will clip another 2-3 million jobs. The train has left the station...we are in a global war for intellectual talent, and the uneducated-unskilled will get body bagged.

You're right boggsman. Things are lot different looking into the future. Looking back into the past won't necessarily be a good guide into the future. I don't think manufacturing will ever come back in ways that I remember 30 years ago. Future jobs will require highly technical skills and innovative ideas. Of course, there will still be the service sector, so some types of work will change little. Still though, it's what you bring to the line. Lots of low paying jobs will continue where folks will have to compete with the illegal immigrants.

We, as a nation, need to re-think how we invest into the future. Is cutting the crap out of everything the way to go?

well again today in a 5 to 4 where the right wing idots on the supreme court have decided again that the rich have the right to buy elections..........

again it was the right wing that wanted and brought this to the court and the right wing supreme idiots that gave it to them.

remember as a waco right winger claimed "corporations are people too", and why not just let them do the voting.

The following doesn't include Gates, Buffet, Katzenberg, Speilberg, or millions of Hollywood moguls. Silicon Valley moguls also fall over themselves to attend $40k rubber chicken dinners.

- Irwin Jacobs : $2.1 million

The retired head of chip manufacturer Qualcomm also cut a $2 million check to Priorities USA Action, the super PAC backing Obama’s reelection.

- Haim Saban: $1 million

The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers mogul has divided his donation between C Priorities USA Action and left-leaning Majority PAC and House Majority PAC.

The following are Obama For America’s top billionaire ‘bundlers’, who’ve fundraised from their wealthy networks rather than given directly to any super PAC or other outside group. Obama’s campaign team provides a range rather than actual numbers.

that is so funny.................................. Gates and Buffet are not partisan liberals... OK they give most of their money away to stop mosquitos and disease those may be liberal causes but they are not partisan political. It is amazing that you would not even have a clue to this.

Next if you add up every one of those together, I know facts, data and math are not the side of right wingers. It is under 20 million dollars. Sheldon adelson donated in one election cycle at least 98 million dollars by himself 5 times what you could find of every liberal. And that money by adelson is didly vs what the Koch brothers (trust funders) spend via their pacs.

Add in the following .
-Walmart kids (richest family in the USA), who are partisan right wingers,
-Hunt brothers, (trust fund oligark kids)
-Olin foundation (military contracting for 3 generations) in todays money over a billion dollars in spending to date,
-Bob Perry, of the swift boaters funders
-Richard Stephenson, a reclusive millionaire banker and FreedomWorks board member, and members of his family funneled $12 million in October

-Kenneth Langone Home Depot founder Ken Langone has never been shy in his criticism of the President.

-Bernard Marcus In an April interview with Fox News’ Sean Hannity, billionaire Home Depot co-founder Bernie Marcus said that a second term for President Obama would bring “despair.” Marcus has a long history of incendiary political statements — including calling Occupy Wall Street protesters “imbeciles.”

-Tribune company owned by a trust fund kid of General McCommik,
-Sam Fox another swift boat funders
-Foster Stephen Friess
-Monaghan sold Domino's in 1998 and has subsequently dedicated his time and considerable fortune to Catholic philanthropy and political causes. A champion of the pro-life and other conservative causes, Monaghan has spent hundreds of millions of dollars to further this agenda
-Herman Cane the pizza guy from godfathers.
former head of GE was very partisan outspoken.
-T Boone Pickens
-Diane Hendricks,
-Joe Ricketts,
-ebay founder
-amazon founder who bought washington Post
-The Starr Foundation is one of the country’s largest philanthropies, with total assets of about $1.3 billion. Named after Cornelius Vander Starr, the founder of American International Group, the foundation is headed by Maurice R. Greenberg, who was AIG’s chairman until being forced out in 2005
-Stephens Media
-Bechtel trust fund kids
-Hiltons, trust fund kids
-David siegal westgate resorts, timeshare 7000 employees threats to employees, enclosed in their paychecks about gore.
-San Fox,
-Conrad Black
-Art Pope
-In 2008, the John William Pope foundation provided more than 80% of the total budget for each of five leading conservative non-profits in North Carolina.[23] The Pope foundation has donated more than $28.7 million to the think tanks, including $17 million to the John Locke Foundation,[15] for which Art Pope was the founding chairman.[24]
-California vintner John Jordan behind pro-Gabriel Gomez super PAC in Massachusetts U.S. Senate race
The Wall Street Journal identified the backer as the chief executive of the Jordan Vineyard and Winery in California, and reported that Jordan plans to spend more than $1.5 million helping Gomez. The Wall Street Journal identified Jordan as a former Naval Reserve officer and long-time Republican donor who has hosted fundraisers for Republicans including 2012 presidential candidate and Texas
-Ed Conard of Mitt Romney's private equity firm Bain Capital is one of 12 donors who've given at least $1 million to the super PAC Restore Our Future, which supports Romney's bid for the White House. Due to the obliteration of campaign finance law by the Supreme Court, donors can give unlimited amounts to the super PAC. Meet Romney's dozen., Blake Roney, NuSkin 1 million for Romney, steven Lund NuSkin 1 million, Robert Mercer renaissance technologies,
-john Paulson, Paulson and CO financial, Julian Robertson, Tiger Management (Hedge Fund) , Paul Singer, right, of Elliot Management (Hedge Fund), Melaleuca and owner Frank VanderSloot (Personal Care), Paul & Sandra Edgerley, Bain Capital, Bob Perry, Perry Homes (Home Builder), Francis Rooney, Rooney Holdings (Financial),
-Pete Peterson,

-Lewis Eisenberg; hedge fund founder Paul Singer; Washington insider and lobbyist Wayne Berman; former RNC chairman Ken Mehlman; and former ambassadors Sam Fox and Mel Sembler.

ARLINGTON, Va. -- A recently-formed judicial "academy" funded by industry groups and conservative billionaire brothers Charles and David Koch is offering members of Congress and their staff free meals and trips in order to "educate" the lawmakers on controversial pro-business reforms.

The group is the Congressional Civil Justice Caucus Academy (CCJCA), launched earlier this year by the Law and Economics Center (LEC) at George Mason University's School of Law. Despite being part of the university, the right-leaning LEC depends entirely on specially-designated donations which come from a core group of about 50 corporations and foundations, including The Charles G. Koch Charitable Foundation, Merck, Exxon, Eli Lilly, Altria, Wal-Mart, and the conservative Bradley Foundation
-the mining guy in west Virginia

maybe there is one or so exceptions... all chemical companies, mining, all banking, all defense contractors, all medical companies, all insurance companies, all drug companies. IE the 90% majority major fortune 500 companies

So to conclude just one of the right wing super billionaires puts in more money by a multiple of 5 than all liberal donors combined that you listed. and there is not one single super billionaire in the USA that is significant a liberal donor.

The oil Exxon sells in one day is more than the entire budget of a union in a year. And the unions are the largest liberal contributor and they are nothing compared to just one oil company.
