Marsha Brady has quite a voice! (see below) Windoggie will like it at the 4:40 mark. Great clips, Douglas and SRV are mesmerizing.

Nice Frederick.
I forgot Jefferson Airplane...Marty and Grace's harmonies make the hair on my arms stand up.

LA Woman (Doors) holds up really well. As does everything by the Band.

The Band really are timeless.
I got the chance to see the Doors twice. First time at the Legion Hall in Merced. The Sopwith Camel was playing at the fairgrounds that night, so, because no one had heard of the Doors, no one went to see them. I did, along with about 75 other people. Morrison was shitfaced and did several songs laying on the stage. A year later, they played again...everyone was there.

If we are moving away from rock, there are the final 3 Schubert piano sonatas, and the Brahms cello/piano concerto. Along with the last three Mozart symphonies some of the best music ever conceived.

Huh, did somebody say Michael Bloomfield and Elvin Bishop (add Super Session w/ Steven Stills), East West and Paul Butterfield, and then David Lindley?
It's funny how music can transcend ideologies, all great recommendations.

But we can't forget the ladies, here are just some~
Joni Mitchell
Laura Love
Lucinda Williams
Alanis Morissette
Janis (you know her last name)
Amy Winehouse
Nelly Furtado and
Chrissie Hynde

There are too many for me, my music library is just too big to pick out my favs, I could go on for pages.
