How can they get the barges up the river through this???

Wow, rainbows drifting by at 60MPH! My heart beats faster just looking at the photo's. I love our Gorge wind machine.

Thanks Trudy

Amazing conditions.

I discourage anyone from attempting to windsurf in that. It's not fun and very risky, for obvious reasons. You will be lucky to make your jibe and return to shore, no matter how much ballast your Johnson provides. Not macho. Only stupid. Driving by Cascade Locks yesterday, it was the windiest easterly I have ever seen there. It must have been 35-40mph at Cascade Locks. Much less risky and much more sailable.

Learn to play on snow.

IIRC haven't seen the video in a while but Trudy's top pictures show quite a bit more wind than what Kitts sailed. If you made it past the pilings you'd get murdered.

There was also video of Danny from Chianti's (formerly The Tree House......does anyone remember Chianti's or The Tree House?) sailing Rooster back in the day, pretty much getting flattened. I don't remember it as being as windy as in these photos however. These photos from yesterday are the kind of day where, when you're driving westbound doing slightly over the speed limit, the spray is passing you.
