Anyone think the Falcons have a shot against the Pats?

I'm a rabid PATS fan being a Bostonian. I give the Pats a 65% chance.
Atlanta is hot and have a very good offense, I would say their about even with pats on O, defense pats have the edge, special teams pats have the edge , coaching pats have the edge, been there done that pats have the edge.

I just hope it's a good game and not a blow out.

Usually the championship games are the best games of the season, much better than the super bowl as well, but not this year so far, both the championship games were blow outs, hardly competitive.
So hopefully this time around the super bowl game will be competitive. Not really a fan of either team, but I'd love to see Brady stick it to the commissioner by winning. Inflate gate my ass, what a joke that was.

So I heard that Oakland lost their chance of moving to Las Vegas, and now some San Diego high rollers are trying to get the Raiders to move to San Diego! What the hell is going on? It's like the NFL is more interested in business than they are the fans. All the teams should be publically owned just like Green Bay, then maybe the fans would have greater control than they now do, which is none, unless you live in Green Bay.

If it was socialism, the fans would have zero say, told where to sit, and have no chance of progressing to the skyboxes. Laughing Laughing

mac is just the consummate liberal house fly that hovers around looking for a nugget to try deposit his shit on.
Every time a fly lands, it shits, nothing new or unusual, for flies, especially the two legged kind. IOW, no big deal.

Actually I think Mac was trying to be light hearted for a moment. Maybe he is human after all.

Mac was making fun of NW in the wake of the meltdown of the Raider deal. We had experience with Al Davis, a scummy businessman in the mold of pussy grabber. It has been over 50 years since I played football, and I can clearly see it as a guilty pleasure.

But the point that went over NW's head, and probably over Matty's as well, is that most owners of ball teams play cities against each other to extract concessions. Davis offered to pay Las Vegas $1/year. They ask cities to leapfrog subsidizing building a ball park over other social needs. In fact, they are socializing the costs (and risks) of building stadiums and privatizing the profit side. Just like our friends at the oil and coal companies. So NW gets his socialism--right in the pants.

I know the people that negotiated the last Raiders deal in Oakland. Oakland is on the hood for $95 million, which is being paid by property owners taxes. The City of Santa Clara is suing the 49ers over their stadium deal. Raise your hand--and stop paying attention--if you think the Las Vegas folks have negotiated a better deal for the public.

Just like everything else in life there are two sides to every story. We had the Stadium battle here also 15 years ago. In the end Mac how much tax revenue will be lost if a team moves? and thousands of jobs and spin off businesses. This is what businesses do, why does that surprise you.
