I have an unused 2011 Tabou Dacurve 79L on the way to replace my 2004 evo 80. One week to go, canŽt wait to see it and try it out! Just hope that it stops snowing over here so i can give it a go.

Just wanted to share my anticipation, i feel like a kid waiting for christmas Smile

know the feeling..

Andy at Wind-NC is in tune with the DC Quads by Tabou, if you want some fin advise. Only rode the 85L with standard fins, but he has 'played' with fins.

when will of Monsters and Men release next CD ?

I'm experiencing the same thing right now! Mark Nelson just finished my custom board TODAY, and Matt Pritchard's going to test-sail it for me before it ships.

Looks really great, Spennie! I like the volume flow for your jibe method.

the Mark Nelson board is interesting. Cant really see the rail shape, large winger , to a narrow tail, compared to the rest of the width.

What is the fin configuration ?

wow, that is one hell of a board that you have coming your way, congrats! Thanks u2u2u2 for the heads up on the fin advice, i have very limited experience with multifins so it will definitely take some getting used to, looking forward to the experience and will try to get some advice when i have the board.

-and regarding of monsters and men. IŽll ask a bassist that i work quite a lot with and we teach at the same musicschool. He taught at least two members of the band how to play there instruments so he is connected Wink

Rexi, this outline is so very similar to one of your potential board purchases,

right now as you see its under wraps

The winger is a variation on an old concept, one I used when I used to shape my own kneeboards in the early 70's. They should work like side fins, creating a pivot point and giving extra grip, but only when you're on the rail, so there's no drag going straight. Otherwise it's a single-fin. They'll also increase the width when schlogging by 8 cm. (3"), then lift out of the water once planing.

Keep you fingers crossed for me, this is an expensive gamble. Mark Nelson has done an AMAZING job of realizing my dream, it's exactly what I asked for. The board was finished yesterday on Maui, and as soon as there's wind again both Matt Pritchard & Mark Nelson are going to try it out, since neither one of them has ever seen a board like this before. Then it gets shipped to me.

Her name is "Blaze".
