Where can I get 34" fixed lines? I prefer fixed lines because of their no swing characteristics. Also, why don't all brands measure the actual loop which hangs below the boom? One brand of 34" is about the same as my Hot Sails 30" and Dakine mono 30s.

This length issue is quite annoying. At least GunSails are quite clear about the way to measure their lines. They are up to 30 inches, maybe it's equivalent to 34 measured differently?

The measurement issue is so unnecessarily confusing.
The measurement should simply be the length of the harness line "loop" below the boom with the lines say 4" apart on a 29mm grip boom. Done. Simple.

More simply, why not measure lines in their raw state? Any spec spread only ads to the confusion. 3cm could be 3", and what are the measuring points exactly? Inside to inside, outside to outside . . . ?

Shorten the line completely, measure from bottom of strap toward bottom of strap. Extend line to max, same measure. That's the range.

It changes the paradigm, true.

I use 34" Hot Sails fixed lines. They have been out of them for most of the year. Supposedly, KS took the last of their supply when he joined them. MFC has 34's, but Pascal told me the are about the same as Dakine 32".

I finally found some NP 34"s at NP Maui. contact Chris Levins

Ezzy Sails is now offering very nice fixed lines in longer lengths. Contact Tim Ortlieb at Ezzy.
