The big boys know I like to surf up at CG. A few of them know I like to sail too. With low muscle mass and testosterone, the 2 sports mixed together, up there, are less appealing to me.

Tomorrow's CC Bay's low tide at noon make Chapin, and all those places, seem a little sketchy.

My old fall back when no one is around is Pleasant Bay. The venturi effect is probably worth an extra knot or 2 too.

Please sail right in front of the camera so all can see.

TX, RC

Ron do not sell your self short
a couple of years ago you would not sup in bigger surf
It just take practice and some paying of dues and determination
An mostly being smart about the conditions to go in.

Tomorrow may be good day to go to Sandy neck if we can get some decent wind.

Ocean too on shore based on forecast

Thanks Peter for the encouragement.

Pleasant Bay is like the kid in the neighborhood that was never your first choice to hang out with; but every now and then, you look back and say that was fun.
.
I know for a fact that Hardie, Gerda's Bruce, Sinbad Bruce and others have hit it big time. I bet that most, if not all, of the big boys have cut their teeth there once or twice.

I'm waiting for the day that I witness Peter, Nina, Dean, Drew and a few more score it too.

I don't care how jaded you all are, coming down the hill on 28 from either direction is a spectacular view when it's on.

With the noon time ocean / big bay low tide, it's my bet.

and -- Old war horses Barry Burbank and Harvey Leonard say it's gonna kick up.

P bay was about as quiet as this lame-a$$ site.

More east than planned made the Orleans boat ramp the take off spot. Sailed my arms off with a 6.0. One other, a kiter, coming from the Chatham side.

OK grade B

chatham side was sheltered. saw you just leaving the beach from the boat ramp. private beach, no tresspassing, no parking signs kind of put me off, never sailed from that side before. wondered what your next bigger sail is from the 5,0 in the bushes.

Ron, we actually have sailed PB, but it was not a great session. If we drive all the way, we'll drive up a bit further and get some really flat water. Tides have to be right, though - did not work today. We stayed local instead - East Bay is just a 10 minute drive. Wind was up (when Nina was not ready to sail and after she gave up) and down (when Nina had her 4.5 rigged). I had fun planing through jibes in perfectly flat water.

Hi Guys:

Thanks for giving it a try.

Over the years, people just sprawled up and down the beach. That private beach sign was new. I'll have to check the town's assessing maps.

I'm quite sure that the width of the ramp at a minimum is public.

My 6.0 was a handful; but the right choice through the lulls.

Trust me, there have been better days at Pleasant Bay.
