Great post Riptide. Zakaria's commentary was spot on, and in my view, difficult to argue against under the US Constitution. If the Republican party wants change, they're going to have to do it through the laws of the land and gain the necessary consensus of both houses of Congress and the approval of the president. |

He's down into Bush's approval territory now.
Don't really know where you get your approval claims. |
Nice try, partisan hack. The average of ALL polls puts Obama at 44% according to Real Clear Politics . If it warms your cockels to think Obama is at 37%, compared to Bush's last poll average of 31%, continue to cherry pick the data that makes you feel good. |

Obama's shenanigans at the National Mall have not helped his cause. The Federal thugery perpetrated on international tourists at Yellowstone and other National parks show just how oppressive this government is.
And yesterday Sheila Jackson Lee called upon Obama to declare Marshall Law. And all this hate because congress wants parity between corporations, congress, and individuals as it pertains to the ACA? |

That's MARTIAL LAW, Mr. B. Do a little research.
Marshall has nothing to do with it.

The teas sure are working hard to pretend that the waivers are the only problem.
The Dems called their bluff on this and agreed to end waivers forCongress because they didn't exist.
The Teas responded by seeking those who don't know the truth and telling them it is only the imaginary waivers.
That pool of misinformed folks is shrinking.
Have you looked the facts up on this Bard? Could you show us the Factcheck or PolitiFact entry that confirms this "fact"
Fighting the Gov. by lying to people will end badly for the Teas support among the educated. It is a trust and credibility issue. |

It's not waivers for congress, never has been.
It's subsides for congress to help pay for O'care, 75% of it in fact.
And the T.E.A. party knows that. |

Boehner and his Tea Party buddies have caused more beaches to be shut than all the Tropical activity this year.
Pure slime Boehner does not care about anything but his rich cronies. Too bad we have so many Repubs in the House when the democratic votes were 1.5 million more in 2012. The Repub gerrymanders made sure that they won the House anyway and now they try to keep their majority by disenfranchising voters.
Kind of funny to see someone higher up whining about "politics" on this forum that is specifically labeled "politics". Probably one more low information citizen that allows the Tea Party idiocy to sink in. |

Those subsidies are for a broad range of Government employees, have been place since long before Obama, and have nothing to do with exemptions from Obamacare.
Obamacare requires all Congress to participate just like you and me.
There is no exemption.
Those who make this statement
" Obama made an exemption for all his buddies in Congress" are not telling the truth.
And the T.E.A. party knows that. |
