Just remember that our dear leader has kept the federal golf courses open for use by his staff and favored congressmen. In addition camp David is open. And they are using more staff than normal to keep grandpa out of the WW2 memorial than they normally would on regular day. I'd bet it is the same at Crissy.

Don't buy in to the Kabuki theater on either side of the aisle.

Bard, you might not want to acknowledge the reality of what's going on and who caused it, but I think most do. There are a lot of folks out of work right now, and I'm willing to bet that you could care less.

If the Speaker of the House allowed a straight up or down vote on the budget CR, the problem would vaporize. And, what's ironic, it would pass with bi-partisan support.

"Take your damn politics off this forum this is for windsurfing not socialism"

seems like politics are having an effect on windsurfing in this case so maybe lighten up a little? What's wrong with a little straying off topic here or there anyway if people learn from it.

Didn't Crissy used to be a dirt parking area? Chandler, get used to being one of the cattle while your hard earned dollars are wasted and inflated away by out of control politicians and money printing.

They have everyone afraid that we can't make it without government. How many stupid shenanigans will we put up with before we just say screw the govmint cheese and realize we can do it on our own?

Bard, the next time you're up windsurfing in San Francisco, you might want take a moment and admire the world renowned Golden Gate Bridge from Crissy Field. No doubt, fine evidence of government dollars well spent.

Not only, but it would seem that if it was not for our government we would not be sailing at all. Almost every single spot in the Bay area would be gone or left at the mercy of private developers. Think Oyster Point/Genentech or Haskins and apply their fate to these ultra-prime-real-estate-developer-wet-dreams:

Palo Alto, in a nature preserve: gone
Third Ave, on the Bay trail: gone
Coyote, a County Park: gone
Candlestick, a State Park: gone
Crissy, on Federal Land, now Park: gone
TI, on ex-Federal Land: gone
Berkeley Marina, Berkeley Park: gone
Point Isabel, Regional Park: gone

We will still have Larkspur and Embassy (that is also on semi-sort-of-public land access, although it sucks with no ramp ... Crying or Very sad )

There is a separate forum column called "politics, off topic, whatever"

Of course there is another place for politics here on this site, the funny thing is, is the OP of this thread, it's a political title, intentionally, people get all upset, and he doesn't post here again.
Don't really know why, but I find it funny, people get so snappy in the face of politics if it shows up where it's not expected, almost like religion.
