and the removal of days to vote in black areas

That happened in North Carolina, and the leftist media made a lot of noise. However, what was buried in some of the stories was that there were fewer days, but the hours were extended on those voting days to accommodate voting before and after work. Same total hours, just fewer days.

Good news gets manipulated to bad news in order to criticize the Republican legislature.

Nonsense. Turnout in North Carolina was down more than 12%, and Republican political operatives admitted it was about reducing African-American turnout. The courts have agreed.

Nonsense.

The new hours haven't been implemented yet. Those that really want to vote will find a way. Between early voting, absentee voting and regular voting, it just isn't that hard.

Supreme Court largely upholds new NC districts in gerrymandering case
By Sam Kim | 07/06/2018

The U.S. Supreme Court voted last week to uphold most of North Carolina’s newly drawn state legislative districts, marking the end of one of the state's gerrymandering lawsuits.

The per curiam ruling ends a long-running battle over the 2011 state elections map—which was drawn by Republican lawmakers—and its court-ordered successor map. It also ensures that North Carolinians will vote in the same districts as they did in the May primary for the upcoming midterm elections.

“Thanks to the dedication of the plaintiffs in this case, voters in North Carolina will finally be able to vote in state legislative districts drawn without unconstitutional racial discrimination,” said Alison Riggs, senior voting rights attorney for the Southern Coalition for Social Justice, in a statement. “The order from the Supreme Court today sends the message loud and clear that discrimination, even if hidden under a self-proclaimed veil of ignorance, will not be tolerated in the redistricting process.”

The Supreme Court’s decision largely affirms the maps created by Nathaniel Persily—a Stanford Law School professor and the “special master,” or designated expert, in the case. In January, a three-judge panel hired Persily to redraw the districts after it found that the Republicans’ second attempt in 2017 was still racially tainted.

Hardly a surprising response. The GOP does it because it works--12% in North Carolina, and gives whatever excuses partisans will believe. It's why the GOP wants a right wing court--so they can get away with it.

The problem with that loser Kaepernick thing and Nike thing is Nike.
He got cut, he didn't quit, and when he left the NFL he was rich, rich enough to not have to worry about money for the rest of his life if he doesn't party it all away. And thanks to Nike, he's getting richer, so he didn't sacrifice a God damn thing.
But he was an NFL player who took a knee for a cause (actually he started sitting first), so that makes it special.
No, he's not special, this NFL player was special, Nike doesn't know special.

Kap sacrificed about $25-30 MM...easy... He was due a roster bonus, and the 49ers had a new coach, and were not going to pay it....
Pat Tillman is a hero, and Dubya threw him under the bus...shameful..
The pathetic thing about this whole news story is that it was DEAD, until tRump gave it life....Only 6 guys in the league were kneeling when tRump chimed in, now its a boondoggle, and a divider....

It's not a divider, it's an exposer.... The country is tired of whiney black people and all their misguided BS... I am glad Trump is busting their nuts.

Did you see that freak of nature Sorina Williams this weekend?.. Cheating bitch turns it into a sexism issue. talk about making an ass of yourself....

Can't wait for hockey season. It's great watching athletes that appreciate how fucking lucky they are...

You're wrong. The country is not tired of "whiney black people"..I'm really tired of ignorant uneducated white people.
BTW-if you knew tennis, you'd know every coach motions to their player, its not cheating IMO...that said, I don't support Serena(notice the spelling of the worlds greatest femaale athlete every) and her tirade...
