Who said anything about advocating for open borders? The idea of open borders is a bogus Republican talking point that has absolutely no validity in fact.

Again, our problem with illegals is rooted in the companies and individual Americans hiring them instead of American citizens.

If I was ICE agent, rooting out the cancer would be easy. It would be like fishing in a barrel. Find Spanish speaking workers, and then diligently work up the management ladder. Start small and build momentum as you get to the heart of the disease. The penalties at the top would need to be ruthless and extremely stiff. Read disastrous. Illegals would ultimately deport themselves over time.

Believe me, that's how this liberal would attack the problem if I was in charge.

That's all good, agree. But do you get my point that we also need to remove the motivations that encourage people to come here illegally. Sanctuary cities , drivers licenses , in state tuition and any other kind of benefits send a mixed message to those considering coming here illegally. It make no sense.
Don't break our laws , but if you do , this is what you get....CRAZY!!!!

idiot all we have to do is pass a national ID law that anyone can go to a post office and get a biometric ID that is accepted as an id even to get a job. Dems tried to pass this many times when they had contraol. The right wing do not want it. This ID wuld be free, if lost cheap to replace. and any employer who uses this ID for eemployement is not liable for hiring the wrong people.

Very simple...

the right wing do not want it because the companies would be in trouble and not able to hire illegal employees. and this ID would be usable for voting where they can not illegally scrub voters.

Matty has carefully elided the definition of bigotry to avoid the racial aspects and the lack of evidence. Here is a more accurate and complete definition:

D
Quote:
efinition of bigot
: a person who is obstinately or intolerantly devoted to his or her own opinions and prejudices; especially : one who regards or treats the members of a group (such as a racial or ethnic group) with hatred and intolerance

To be sure, membership in a racial or ethnic group is not as choice, and does not involve a political perspective. A certain type of conservatism is an entirely different matter.

Apropos of that perspective, it is worth noting that the Drudge Report provided links to the attacks on passengers in the BART system in Oakland. A criminal activity by those who chose to participate, which was not all of those. So far, one person has been identified and arrested, and all that can be identified should be charged. My son in law is very good at that, and is a cop in Oakland. But this is the response from the drudgers:

Quote:
The most talked-about local story of last week was a Saturday-night ambush of a BART train by 40 to 60 youths at the Coliseum Station. It was unquestionably a scary scenario for anyone who rides BART: The youths hurdled over the fare gates, held open the doors of the Dublin-bound train, and seized cell phones and bags from seven passengers. Two passengers suffered face and head injuries.

Within moments of the first version going online, the reaction came fast and furious on SFGate. The story had more than 2,100 comments by week’s end. And a considerable portion of the anger was aimed at what was not in the story: the race or races of the young mob, which BART did not reveal.
ut that did not stop readers from jumping to conclusions.

“‘The images can’t be shared publicly’ ... translation: black kids,” said one post.

The exchanges only got uglier, as stereotypes and racial resentments flowed out of the closet.

“More of Obama’s kids acting badly.”

“If one of these kids would have been killed by a cop, Oakland would be in flames right now.”

“No crime here ... they were merely taxing people for white privilege.”

Some commenters suggested passengers should start packing concealed weapons. A few even invoked the name of Bernhard Goetz, the infamous “subway vigilante” who in 1984 shot and seriously wounded four African American teens after one of them demanded $5 and Goetz was convinced he was about to get mugged.

A “Bay Area Bernie Goetz needs to Oscar Grant each and every one of those cockroaches,” said one post, alluding to the Jan. 1, 2009, fatal shooting of Grant, an unarmed and restrained 22-year-old black man, by a BART police officer at the Fruitvale Station.

“Black males are the most violent group in America,” wrote another.

But here is the reality: The youths were not all black — and not all male. Some appeared to be as young as middle-school age. And not every one who jumped the fare gates was directly involved in the robbery.

From John Diaz in the SF Chronicle.

Trump as a presidential candidate, and as a developer and commentator before he ran for President has a long history of such inflamatory and bigoted comments. He has normalized bigotry, to the delight of the white nationalists in the country. Abetted by the Drudge report and Breitbart.

Mac would rather call a harmless windsurfer on a forum a racist than address the animals on the streets. Mac is more worried about the words of a few instead of the insane violence and mayhem of certain communities.
As long as the world is full of liberal apologist like Mac we will never stop the senseless violence that pollutes our cities
... MAC THE APOLOGIST , BIGOT, ENABLER, AND FOOL.

Only racist in the little minds of liberals. FAR MORE CONCERNED WITH ANIMALS TAKING OVER TRAIN STATIONS THAN WORDS ON A COMMENT BOARD. I'm sure the liberal freaks in Filthy Frisco are working hard to track down those awful people and their racist remarks. WE ALL KNOW THAT WAS THE REAL CRIME HERE...RIGHT?????

My son in law is doing just that. Of course, describing them as animals is not racist--in the mind of a racist. Don't read very well do you?

mac is right, the animals that held up the BART passengers are actually friendly flower children, threatening with their tambourines.

In Boston? It must be Obama's fault. Where was Matty?

NW--so much for your claim that you don't call people names.

One moron and the city is racist...Please!!!

Boston is arguably the most liberal city in America...so I guess liberals must be racist right????? no their not

Stupid label put on a city/region that had a 2 term black governor, first black US senator, voted for Obama overwhelmingly twice, sent black troops to end slavery, and much more.
Boston got this label during the moronic school busing catastrophe in the seventies.

50,000 cell phones at the stadium last night and apparently no recordings ..
