Praise the GODS: finally the sun! One of the worst May/June in recent history!
Big crowd at Crissy that delivers a classic Crissy day: wind way outside 4.5-5.0 with nice swell or chop depending where you sail. One of those days that makes one really miss TI: instead of slogging out way passed Anita with a 5.0, and sailing overpowered while wondering if you would ever make it back, TI would have been 4.3 ... boom: right at the start! Still one cannot really complain! Sun, waves, wind, green trees, blue sky ...

Alameda 4:30-6p, nicely powered outside, especially past Harbor Bay ferry channel by OAK where wind remained consistent and allowed 100% planing (150lb on 6.3 superfreak, bic windsup). sunny and warm, yay! |

Perfect day at Coyote. Sunny, flood to ebb, steady powered to overpowered 4.3, nice swell and a few steady "above boom" wave trains. Mostly overboarded (overpower 4.3 is when the RRD 85 starts to be too quick and bulky) I sailed more southerly than usual, below the second yellow buoy, where conditions seemed easier.
Not many people out it must be the $6 charge at the gate that is indeed a drag |

Looked good at first, however 4.2/80L + flood tide + dying winds = misery. The only good thing about my slog fest is that I don't need to work the weights at the gym tonight as my arm muscles are already bulging from the effort today. |

Had to resort to my two least favorite activities on the water - uphauling and tacking. Weird day, with wind on and off and shifty. Some folks figured it out, I gave up after a few decent runs. |

Sunny!! Crissy deliver starting at 2:30 with a 4.3. The wind drops after a while and I go back to rig a 5.0. Of course the wind comes back with a vengeance but at that point I soldier on (not going to change back to 4.3 ). Very powered up in fairly massive chop that keeps increasing as the ebb develops. Fun, but a bit taxing.
Tons of people out, a couple of really idiotic kiters doing stunts inside Anita Point (f@#$k any safety concerns!) and another couple that clearly could not care less about right of way.
Other than that: so nice!!!!
Day after pretty much the same. Windy (6.6) at up to around 3 pm or so. Than it drops and finally fills in around 3:30. Still north of Anita point, but strong 4.3 outside, 5.0 too much but workable. Again VERY choppy.

Thurs was a really strange day at Coyote too. The outside (about 3:30pm) died way before the inside. The inside was still sailable until 4:30. Usually it's the other way around, the outside gets stronger when the thermal comes up at 3 or 4pm. No hint of what caused it. Fog was in the San Bruno gap, no fog in hwy 92 gap and warm in the valleys. Maybe weird Eddy came back? |

Strong steady wind with a southerly cant and nice rollers. Good to see some windsurfers out there today...not just the usual kiters (not that there's anything wrong with that) |
