Waiting for the season to really kick after 2 weeks at La Ventana I put in two good days at the Stick. Fri March 6, Sun 8, Mon 9, with Isonic and 6.6. Fri 5-6 people out, powered but some slogging. Same on Monday with the least wind 8-10 people. But Sunday powered to overpowered, really putting the 111 through its paces, still surprised of how well the GP2 6.6 works with the 68 wide board that gets into its high gear when the sail is fully loaded. Kind of happy with my asset, despite the little leverage that my frame allows (5.8 x158 pounds) I am nicely in asset and sail with little effort.

At least 20 people out: big crowd of win deprived sailors!

Any time I get a sesh, I feel like a winner. When I'm looking at weather charts and not seeing promise, I feel wind deprived. Sounds like you had 20 winners that scored Sunday. Wink Wink

Nice, short, mildly powered afternoon session at Berkeley.

First day at Little Washoe Sunday. 5.0 but flat water, big enough to sail BNF. Water was 52 degrees after very warm winter. Mt rose ski area is seen above.

5.6 V wave and big Magic today at Berkeley, got about 1.5 of solid planing, came in before the lowest of the low tide today. Had to slog up past Lordships to find solid breeze Emeryville to Lordships.

There was a little action at the Stick today 3/17/2015
Arrived at 2:30 the hot free stylers were already out.
Kind of up and down till about 4 then a little more filled in
to from 4 onward. I was out on a 5.7 due to the flukiness
and the fact its my second day out this season.

3rd Ave channel, Tuesday. Wind came reliably up around 3:30 pm. I got on about 4pm. Planed and semi-planed to channel scraping a couple of "sandbars" on way out with a 20 cm fin mind you! Yes, tide was shallow on inside! Out in the channel decent 5.0 wind initially, but continued to build stronger over the next few hours out there. Water was mostly choppy, really no nice swells or ramps, but there were areas of flat water too towards nearside of channel. Good little session with select friends. By 7pm enough tide came back in to easily make it back to main launch ramp. Negative tide again today so watch out and plan accordingly, haha!
