A.L. yesterday for a nice wave sesh with solid wind... 2 kites out early but they moved down to pico leaving all the smooth head high sets to me. Looked like rain at first and no wind, like SLO had at the time, but the clouds parted at 2:45 with full sun giving amazing contrast of ocean and emerald green hill views. thanks santa! |

Okay that's twice now that you've gotten it while I missed it recently. Looks like it might blow again today, but I'll have to miss it again, I'm deep frying a bird. ARRRRR. |

All spots were working this past Sunday. Sails from 4.7 to 5.8. Waves head to logo. Smiles all around. Nice opening to the 2015 season. Lets hope its a good one! |

Gerritt, good to know. I totally missed it, but I wasn't even looking for it. Did it show up in the forecast tables? |

Berkeley was nice Friday, midday, several Cal Sailing folks out, including at least one beginner who get my congrats for really going for it. Me, OP'd on 3.5/80L (150#). Gusty in the basin, but smoother wind and bigger water outside HSLordships. Not too cold at all, wind nor water. |

I guess you were the guy who came in at Lordships, doing the Shove It's and going for the full rotation after. |

In what mast be the worst possible winter since 1986 (or the best for MTB) did two days at Crissy in extremely marginal winds trying to get ready for Baja.
Saturday (stuck at Crissy, because Obama landed at the Warm Hut, Go Obama!) I decided to go out in almost zero wind. Sunday after an exhausting paddle against a nice north easterly, I go back out with the sail in 3-5 knots. Pretty cool sailing in the easterlies marveling at the bizarro currents that plague this place! |
