|
|
Good day at the Stick. Out with 6.6 and Isonic powered up. Only Devin, Robert and I out, . The wind starts to decrease around 3:30, and by 4 pm the 6.6 starts to get off the plane on the inside. Two more people show up, going out with large board but small sails in the receding wind.
But overall good day! Today might be as good if not better with fog in the morning and the thermal rebuilding ... although ... Marine forecast is for 5 miles/hour
But instead Nov 7 delivers: pretty much the same conditions of the 6th, possibly a bit more windy. But today the whole gang shows up! At least 10 people on the water, and some more showing up for a late session |

I don't think I've ever sailed Lopez this late in the year. Had to use the barn door 6.5 and 100L, but with 75/65 it was nice to use just board shorts and a short sleeve. Only 2 of us out. |

Stick delivers on Nov 9 and 10. Starts early and shuts down by around 4:00 but makes for some very nice sailing comfortably powered up with 6.6 and Isonic 111. Sunday a good dozen + is out. Monday 6-8 people.
Tomorrow probably similar pattern |

Well, even Berkeley delivered enough wind for a 6.6 and 100 liter slalom board Sun and Mon. |

Just back from a wonderful 3pm to sunset session. Waves only up to waist high but the water/air was still nicely warm. A handful of sailors and a few kiters out but not busy at all. No E Seals on the beach yet so it is still easy access. |

3 days of 4.5 /90L Goya trifin sailing at Kanaha, air temp at 75-78..water cool but not cold. Wind was a bit fluky on the inside but definitely 4.2 to 4.7 beyond the surf break. 40 to 50 windsurfers from all over the planet taking advantage of the late season tradewinds. Life is good |

Stick continues to deliver even if weakly. Very early start around 1:00 nicely powered up with 6.6 + Isonic 111. Then the wind decreases and is up only way outside. 8.0 would be good. I keep having fun until 3:15 when I leave, wind is coming back 3-6 people out. Not bad for end of November |

December!!!!!
First day out Wind-Supping! Must be 3-5 miles/hour but steady close to shore. Have a very nice time doing tacks and those things I don't know how to do like back-wind and other stuff that takes me straight in the water. The magic of cruising in "no-wind" is still there
Eventually wind dies and I take the paddle out ... Sunny and warm at Crissy. |

Bodega was the place to be today if gust 39 is in your comfort zone. Four sailors out on 3.7 - 5.0, one kite out more briefly. One guy was doing loops.
I am recovering from surgery and not yet cleared to sail, but it was good to be out and observe. |
